How to make roasted chana at home: On hearing the name of gram, healthy and nutrition-rich snacks come to mind. Roasted gram is not only tasty but is also rich in fiber and protein. In such a situation, if you want to include it in your diet, then make it yourself at home instead of roasted gram available in the market. Actually, in the market it is roasted in sand, due to which the sand sometimes comes under the teeth. But you can make them easily at home, that too without using sand. For this you will only need a pressure cooker and some easy ingredients. If you also want to add a healthy option to your everyday breakfast, then make crunchy gram at home in this easy way. This snack is not only prepared quickly, but can also be stored for a long time. Come, let us learn the simple method of making crunchy gram in pressure cooker.
Material-
Raw gram – 2 cups
Baking soda – 2 pinches
Water – 1 teaspoon
Salt – 1 cup.
Method of preparation-
First of all, take two cups of raw gram in a bowl and add two pinches of baking soda in it. Also add one spoon of water so that the baking soda sticks well to the gram. If you want to roast more gram then increase the quantity of baking soda and water.
-Now heat a pressure cooker by placing it on the stove and add one cup of salt in it. Now remove the rubber from the lid of the pressure cooker and keep it covered. Let the salt heat thoroughly in high flame. When the salt gets heated properly, its heat will start coming outside the cooker.

-Now add gram in hot salt and keep stirring it well with the help of a ladle. By doing this the gram will roast well. If you have more gram then fry it in two or three batches. Remove the whistle and rubber from the cooker, replace the lid and keep the gas flame on high. Keep stirring the cooker occasionally.
-After 2 minutes, remove the lid of the cooker and you will see that the gram has been roasted well like the market and a nice aroma is also coming. Now separate it from salt with the help of a sieve. You can filter it even after it cools down. In this way you have hot and fresh roasted gram ready.
